The Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra
The 17 Piece big band, the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra (formerly known as the Australian Showband), features Melbournes top jazz and studio musicians and can add a touch of class to gala events. The band features vocalists such as Nina Ferro, Nichaud Fitzgibbon and can play music from the swing era to current dance music. The DMJO has toured with Ray Charles, Jerry Lewis, ELO and the Ultimate Rock Symphony, as well as recording for the soundtracks of films "After the Deluge" and "Strange Bedfellows". Many artists have used charts arranged by Daryl McKenzie including Ray Charles, John Farnham, Debra Byrne, and Rhonda Burchmore. The Hey Hey It's Saturday Band features the finest musicians in Melbourne and was seen regularly on the Nine Television Network in the 1990's.
